FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do you live?

I was born and raised in Slovenia and I currently live in Gothenburg, Sweden

Do you travel full-time?

I quit my job to travel full-time between January and July 2019. Now I work full-time as a copywriter for a fashion company and travel during my vacation and weekends. You can also read more about me here.

What camera equipment do you use?

I use my Canon 5D Mark IV with my 24-70mm lens for my photos and my iPhone 8 plus for my stories. You can read here for my full travel photography equipment breakdown and have a look at my Instagram here.

How do you take your pictures?

I travel with my boyfriend, Mikael. I do all the camera settings (I only shoot manual mode), frame the picture, take an example shot and then show him where I want to stand and to direct me to that place once he looks through the viewfinder. He is not as photography interested as me, so if he sometimes doesn’t feel like taking pictures, then I just put my camera on the tripod and connect it to my phone. Needless to say, it’s a lot more work, so I like to make compromises.

How do you edit your photos?

I edit all my photos with Lightroom and Photoshop. I pay for the Photography package at Adobe and use only these two religiously, they are truly amazing.

Is Instagram/blog your job and do you earn money from it?

I work a regular full-time job and get my main income from that. When it comes to my blog and Instagram, I earn money from ads and also do some exchanges of services with brands, hotels and tourist boards.

How can you afford to travel so much?

I pay for my travels with my savings.

How much did it cost you to travel full-time for 6 months?

We spent roughly around $8000 USD each. Flights, hotels, food and shopping and all bits and bobs included.

What is your ultimate travel dream?

Even though I love the tropics, sandy beaches and palm trees; my ultimate dream is to travel to Antarctica. It’s been a life long wish to travel there and I feel like I’d cry my eyes out seeing it in real life for the first time.
