Make up used to be a big part of my life and I absolutely loved buying new daring lipsticks and do an intense smokey-eye, even in the summer. This has changed though, and for the past 5 years I’ve been having the same summer beauty routine. I have re-bought the same products several times and love what I use. In the summer I like to keep fresh and avoid foundation and lipsticks. Are you also a fan of the more natural, relaxed look? Then check out my go-to beauty products for summer!
I first found out about Formula 10.0.6, when I bought a face scrub (One Smooth Operator is the name) a few years ago. The shopkeeper at a Swedish department store Åhlens recommended it to me since I had a few breakouts. I absolutely loved it! So besides ordering a Shine Free moisturizer, I also decided to buy the Picture Perfect Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 and the So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser. These two are with me every summer and I am really happy with both and they’re perfect for my go-to beauty products for summer.

As I mentioned, I don’t use foundation or any other products on my skin during the summer. I like to keep it as natural as possible and I don’t think that’s achievable with any foundation or powder out there. However, I do like to apply this setting powder I found in South Korea: Innisfree, No Sebum Mineral Powder. Sebum control powder makes my skin non-greasy and leaves a refreshing finish and an even skin tone. Skin feels so soft after applying! You can use it on its own, or on top of foundation.
Brows: If anyone ever asked me to pack only one beauty product, my brow powder would be it. My eyebrows are almost invisible and I feel so naked without a brow product. For 4 years I have been religiously using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Medium Brown, with the Anastasia with the Mini Angled Brush 15.
About a year ago I decided to buy the Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown and the Brush #7B, due to that craze about how amazing the pomade is. While I still prefer the brow powder to pomade, I did notice the brush 7B does a great job with applying the powder as well. While I do still interchange between them, my favorites now are the powder + 7B brush.
Lashes: I am not fussy when it comes to mascaras, I think that at the end of the day they all do a similar job. So usually I just buy a double pack at the airport or whatever I see on offer. But when it comes to eyelash curler I have been using one from Shiseido since 2013. It curls my lashes so well and they stay in a nice shape all day long! I only had to replace the pads 2x so far. It’s a truly a well-made product.

I am so excited to share with you which products I love on my lips! I never particularly like lip-glosses and lipsticks just don’t feel comfortable in the summer anymore. So when I found Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm I knew that would be my forever-favorite. The smell and consistency are so perfect and it really feels like it gives my lips the moisture they deserve during hot summer days. Then I saw at Gothenburg Airport that Clarins also has a 3-pack of Gloss & Perfect Intstant Lip Perfector. I decided to give them a go and absolutely adore them. Not as sticky as the majority of lip-glosses out there and with a great elegant shine and taste. I am totally sold on Clarins for my lips.

5. Accessories and Perfume
Accessories: I’ve been using the same make-up bag for over 6 years. I saw it in my favorite store in London, Reiss, and love that it’s the perfect size for my needs. I also always bring a mirror with me and I thought the Chanel one was such a classy, timeless product I simply had to buy it when I saw it.
Perfume: I fell in love with this scent when my former colleague was wearing the perfume and went to buy it pretty much the next day. The whole CLEAN perfume range smells so fresh, but this one is my current favorite. The name of it is ‘Rain’.
