Pink Pool Cafe at Stylenanda’s store in Hongdae is one of the two trendy cafes Stylenanda stores have in Seoul, South Korea. One is called the Pink Hotel, located in Myeongdeong and this one the Pink Pool Cafe, located in Hongdae. While both of the cafes have adorable decor and yummy treats, the Pink Pool Cafe in Hongdae has that little extra with its Instagrammable pool and lots of seating space. There’s no doubt Seoul is jam-packed with trendy, interesting cafes and the Stylenanda Pink Pool Cafe is no exception! While you could easily spend an entire year discovering all the cafes in the city, this one might just be one of the coolest ones, it really is a must-visit!

The Pink Pool cafe in Hongdae is located in one of the trendiest areas in the city. Here, you’ll find the best of the Kpop fashions, urban arts, and indie music culture, clubs and entertainment. Hongdae is very popular especially amongst young people, so you’ll see it crowded all day long. During the day for shopping and during the night for the nightclubs.

The cafe is not only uber-Istagrammable, they also serve cool drinks and delicious cakes and desserts. If you have a sweet tooth, then come here for a sweet breakfast or a little after-lunch treat. Since the cafe is very popular amongst the locals as well, you’ll find the best times to visit below (good to know if you want to avoid crowds!). As you can see in my pictures, we came just a bit after opening time and had the cafe to ourselves for a few minutes.

The pool in the cafe is not for swimming, it’s very shallow. Actually, you aren’t allowed to dip your feet or anything else in it either – it’s simply a cool feature to observe and take pictures of.

What is Stylenanda?

Stylenanda is a Korean fashion and beauty brand, founded in 2004. Their products are trendy and at a mid-range price point. In the Stylenanda store in Hongdae, you’ll get 3 floors of fashion and the 4th floor is the cafe. I bought a pair of earrings there for about $15 USD, but I wish I had more space in the luggage because the clothes there looked super nice!

Make sure you download Naver Maps while getting around in Korea and to get directions for the cafes. Google maps don’t work as it should in Korea so you might have problems finding your way around without the right app.

Pink Pool Cafe Hongdae is located a 5-minute walk from Hongik University Station and is on the top floor of the Stylenanda store (Google map location here). Don’t be confused if the cafe really is here when you enter the clothing store, it’s accessible via the escalators/elevator all the way up. We visited the Hongdae location and if you only have time to visit one, then I definitely recommend the Hongdae branch.

Best time to visit the Stylenanda Pink Pool Cafe

The best time to visit the Pink Pool Cafe is on weekdays at its opening time at 11:00 am. Hongdae is a University part of Seoul, so expect the students to come in for a coffee and cake around lunchtime. In the afternoon most of the trendy cafes in Seoul generally get quite crowded. During the weekend it’s very likely going to be quite busy, so if you aim to take some Instagram photos, definitely visit on a weekday.

I recommend you head past the pink chairs and straight into the pool section of the cafe. Because the chairs in there are placed against the wall, you’ll be able to get plenty of nice pictures there. As we were leaving a lot more girls showed up and they went all-in for the selfies there! But come on – when the drinks and the food look THIS good, it’s hard not to, am I right?
