Whether you’re visiting Göteborg on a weekend or a weekday, there’s always a good excuse for brunch! And with new brunch places constantly opening in Gothenburg, you simply must go to at least one of these when you come to Sweden’s w(b)est coast! This is my guide to the best Göteborg brunch, where I tried and tested everything from a chicken waffle to a smoothie bowl. And if you’re a fan of all-day breakfasts, then get ready for the brunch places that serve big enough portions to keep you full until dinner! Le Fabrick
One of the latest additions to the best brunch in Gothenburg is this pearl, Le Fabrick. Tastefully decorated, good music vibes, friendly staff and food that has brunch written all over it. For a true test to your taste buds, order the chicken waffle or the vegan avo toast.
Coco Orangerie
Another one of Gothenburg’s latest brunch additions, Coco Orangerie. It’s located just a few minutes down the road from Brunchoteket, so if the line there is too long, you can always try brunch here. Our favorites on our first visit were the pancakes and the avocado sandwich and the french toast the second time.
Le Gbg
If there is one place you can’t skip for brunch Göteborg, then Le Gbg is it. The food here not only tastes amazing but also looks amazing (here’s their Instagram to prove it). I would recommend ordering everything, but their acai bowl is another level!
Breakfast Society
One of the few places that accept table bookings, which makes it perfect if you’re planning to be more than two. Their banana bread is super juicy, so definitely make sure you try it out!
Happy Me
Happy Me prides itself on offering the freshest plant-based dishes that go in line with what’s in-season. Unlike the places above, here you’ll be able to go on a vegan brunch buffé like no other. Make sure you arrive on an empty stomach!
Brunchoteket
Their pancakes are a dream made in heaven! Since this place is one of the most known ones in Gothenburg, make sure you come early for the brunch or get ready to wait in line for a table on weekends.
Lilla Spinneriet
If you are willing to venture a little bit out of the city, then this place will definitely be worth the adventure! A little higher on the price range, but perfect for a special occasion for a foodie who loves carefully chosen and in-season ingredients. Cake isn’t a crime for brunch and here I’d recommend literally any of them!
Kafé Magasinet
If you’re a no-fuss sort of person, then make sure you visit Kafé Magasinet for the perfect weekend breakfast with eggs, bacon, avocado and toast. Sometimes simple does it!
Waffles Café
If you have a sweet tooth, then make sure you get a waffle breakfast/brunch at Waffles Café. And if waffles are not up your alley, then opt for the delicious crepes!
